Northern Junior School Clubs - Summer Term

Monday

OCARINAS (12.30 – 12.55)

Join Mrs Scott for expert tuition in the library at lunchtime and become part of the famous Northern Junior School Ocarina band who can be heard at all the most important school events! All years are welcome, including beginners.

WIZKIDS CLUB (12.30 – 12.55)

This is your chance to use the schools technology under the expert guidance of Mrs O’Sullivan. ICT runs on Monday lunchtimes. Meet in the library by the lap-top trolley.

Tuesday

GARDENING CLUB (12.20 – 12.55)

Mrs Scott and her band of helpers will be working on the grounds at lunchtime on Tuesdays. If you like to get your fingers dirty and want to be part of our Award Winning Grounds then this club is for you! You will need to provide wellies or old footwear. Any volunteers (parents and grandparents) to help would be greatly appreciated (please see Mrs Scott). Meet in the lower-school cloakroom.

SKETCH CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Calling all artists! Miss Corner will be showing her creative side for this club which takes place after school on a Tuesday evening. Meet in Miss Corner’s classroom.

OLYMPIC GAMES CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Mr Tickner will be organising our very own version of the Olympic Games every Tuesday evening on the school field. Come along and join in the fun! Meet in Mr Tickner’s classroom with your PE kit.

HOMEWORK AND REVISION CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Miss Barnfield will be running this club in her classroom on Tuesday evenings. You will have a chance to use the internet or library to research any topics that you are working on or interested in. There will also be opportunity to complete any homework you have been set.

KNITTING & CROSS-STITCH CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Mrs Whorlow will be continuing with this ever popular club after school on Tuesday evenings. If you like being creative with wool and thread then this is the club for you. Anything you make you can take home! Meet in the spare classroom.

Wednesday

ROUNDERS CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Miss North will be out on the school field after school on Wednesdays playing rounders. What better way to spend the beautiful summer evenings?! Meet in Miss North’s classroom with you PE kits.

TENNIS CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Are you the next Wimbledon Champion in the making? If so then this is the club for you. Meet in Mrs Thompson’s classroom after school on Wednesday with your PE kit.

GROUNDFORCE (3.15 – 4.15)

Come and show off your green fingers in the school grounds after school on Wednesdays with Mrs Scott and her team. You will need to provide wellies or old footwear. Meet in the lower-school cloakroom.

ATHLETICS CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

Miss O’Connor will be out on the school field after school on Wednesdays doing athletics. If you are a budding athlete then this is the club for you! Meet in Miss O’Connor’s classroom with you PE kits.

Thursday

RUNNING CLUB (3.15 – 4.15)

If you want to be a future London Marathon champion then catch Miss Impey - if you can!! This club will take place after school on Thursdays. Meet in Miss Impey’s classroom with your PE kit.
